Top SOC as a Service Providers in IndiaAn honest comparison for 2026 — criteria published, bias disclosed, competitors treated fairly

This comparison states its conflict of interest in the first paragraph: P J Networks wrote it, and P J Networks is on it. Most “top SOC providers” lists on page one are published by the company ranked first, without saying so. We disclose the bias, publish the criteria applied to everyone, and let the criteria speak.

Every provider below is assessed against the same seven tests, with an honest limitation for each — including ourselves. For the delivery model, start with SOC as a Service, explained; for the buying process, our guide to choosing between SOC service providers in India is the deeper read.

Disclosure first

Who wrote this list, and how it was built

P J Networks Pvt Ltd wrote this page, runs a security operations centre in Delhi NCR, and is the eighth entry below. Nothing here is independent in the journalistic sense. What we can do is make the bias harmless: publish the criteria, apply them to everyone including ourselves, and keep competitor claims publicly verifiable. Each test is checkable in a contract, a certificate scope statement or a site visit.

A staffed roster, not an on-call list

24×7 means analysts on shift at 3 a.m., not an alerting tool paging someone at home. We looked at how each provider covers nights and weekends.

Named L1/L2/L3 tiering

Triage, investigation and deep analysis are different skills, and the RBI’s framework names these tiers. A credible provider can say who sits in each and who employs them.

Response authority in the contract

Detection with no right to contain is notification. We note whether containment — isolating a host, disabling an account — is contractible.

Log residency in India

CERT-In requires a rolling 180 days of security logs within Indian jurisdiction. The region matters, not just the retention period.

ISO/IEC 27001 with the SOC in scope

Many certificates cover a head-office function and nothing operational. We looked at scope statements, not logos.

Transparent onboarding and exit terms

Realistic onboarding timelines in writing, and your historical logs and detection content back in a usable format at exit.

India regulatory fluency

Working command of SEBI’s CSCRF, the RBI Cyber Security Framework and the DPDP Act 2023, because Indian estates are audited against Indian instruments.

Sources: competitor descriptions rest on each firm’s public positioning and widely known facts. Where we could not verify a claim, we did not make it; a provider that believes we have misstated something will be corrected.

The shortlist

Eight SOC as a Service providers in India, compared

No ranking numbers: the best provider depends on your estate’s size, sector and geography. Read best fit first; the limitation column is the one most lists leave out.

Provider Best fit Delivery footprint Notable strength The honest limitation
Tata Consultancy Services Very large enterprises consolidating IT and security under one global contract. Global delivery, centres across India and overseas. Scale and breadth; SOC sits beside one of the world’s largest IT services portfolios. SOC is usually one line in a much larger engagement; bespoke mid-market terms are not the model.
Wipro Large enterprises already buying Wipro infrastructure or application services. Global, with cyber defence centres in India and abroad. A long-running managed security practice integrated with wider IT operations. The integrator trade-off: confirm which centre, and which named team, watches your estate.
Infosys Large organisations standardising on a global delivery model. A global network of cyber defence centres. Industrialised, process-heavy delivery across very large estates. Built for scale; a smaller estate may find the engagement model heavier than it needs.
HCLTech Enterprises wanting the SOC embedded in an infrastructure managed services relationship. Global, including its CyberSecurity Fusion Centres. Deep infrastructure operations heritage; strong where SOC and IT operations overlap. Ask how much of the tiering is dedicated to your account and how much is shared.
SISA Payment and BFSI estates with heavy PCI-DSS obligations. Bengaluru-headquartered, with international operations. Payment-security specialisation and deep card-data forensics experience. Payments and compliance are the core; scope the breadth of general-purpose monitoring for a mixed estate.
Eventus Security BFSI and fintech organisations wanting a SOCaaS-focused provider. Mumbai-headquartered, delivery centred on India with international clients. Pure-play SOC as a service with a named banking and fintech focus. Younger and smaller than the integrators; verify L3 bench depth and multi-estate scale.
CyberNX Mid-market and enterprise buyers wanting a pure-play Indian security services firm. Mumbai-based, serving clients across India. Managed SOC, testing and consulting under one roof. Smaller than the global integrators; confirm 24×7 roster depth behind the tiering.
P J Networksthat is us Mid-market and enterprise Indian estates wanting a visitable, in-house Delhi NCR SOC. Our own Mayapuri, Delhi NCR facility, monitoring estates across India. 50+ in-house analysts; ISO/IEC 27001:2022 with SOC in scope; operating since 2002. We are not a global integrator; five-continent delivery is not us, and we say so.

Not exhaustive: we included providers with a clearly visible SOC offering and enough public information to assess fairly. Exclusion is not a verdict.

One paragraph each

The providers, in brief

Each profile ends with who should shortlist them — the only output of a list like this that matters.

Tata Consultancy Services

TCS delivers managed security at a scale few firms can match, usually inside broader IT services contracts with very large enterprises and government. Shortlist TCS if you are a large enterprise consolidating IT and security under one global contract.

Wipro

Wipro’s managed security practice is long-established and integrated with its infrastructure and application services, delivered through cyber defence centres in India and overseas. Shortlist Wipro if you already run Wipro services and want security on the same contract.

Infosys

Infosys runs a global network of cyber defence centres with industrialised, process-heavy delivery for very large estates, typically bundled into wider transformation programmes. Shortlist Infosys if you are standardising a large multi-country estate on one delivery model.

HCLTech

HCLTech’s security operations grow out of its infrastructure services heritage and its CyberSecurity Fusion Centres, strongest where SOC and IT operations overlap. Shortlist HCLTech if your SOC should sit inside a broader infrastructure managed services relationship.

SISA

SISA built its name on payment security — PCI-DSS assessment, forensics and card-data incident response — and its SOC offering grows out of that heritage. Shortlist SISA if PCI-DSS obligations drive your monitoring requirements.

Eventus Security

Eventus Security is a Mumbai-headquartered specialist positioned squarely on SOC as a service, with a stated banking and fintech focus. Shortlist Eventus if you are a BFSI or fintech organisation wanting SOCaaS as the provider’s core product.

CyberNX

CyberNX is a Mumbai-based pure-play firm spanning managed SOC, testing and consulting for mid-market and enterprise clients across India. Shortlist CyberNX if you want a focused Indian services firm rather than a global integrator.

P J Networks

Us. An in-house SOC in Mayapuri, Delhi NCR since 2002: fifty-plus in-house analysts, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 naming the SOC in scope. Shortlist us if you value a visitable facility, named analysts and published criteria.

P J Networks

Where P J Networks fits

Honestly: not everywhere. If you are a global bank consolidating fifty countries onto one contract, an integrator above is the right answer and we will say so on the first call.

Where we fit is mid-market and enterprise Indian estates — multi-vendor telemetry (Fortinet, Cisco, Dell, Palo Alto, Sophos) watched by analysts you can meet, in a visitable facility in Mayapuri, Delhi NCR. We deliver co-managed engagements on your existing SIEM and fully managed SOC as a Service on ours; tiering, SLA and escalation detail are on our SOC services page, and the managed SOC services page covers commercials.

Our ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate names the SOC inside its audited scope; the scope statement is available on request — the same test we applied to everyone else here.

Separating them

How to choose between providers on any list, including this one

Brochures converge; contracts diverge. Four questions separate a genuine operations centre from a monitoring dashboard, whichever names make your shortlist.

SLA

Does the SLA end at time-to-alert, or time-to-verified-incident?

An alert inside sixty seconds is meaningless if a human confirms it four hours later. Insist the clock stops at human verification; ask how many alerts one analyst investigates per shift.

Authority

Can they contain without waiting for you?

Isolating a host or disabling an account at 3 a.m. needs authority granted before the incident, not negotiated during it. If the answer is no, you are buying notification.

Staffing

Which tiers are subcontracted, and to whom?

Subcontracted L2 and L3 tiers are common and rarely volunteered. Ask where the analysts sit, who employs them, and whether that answer survives a site visit.

Exit

What do you get back when you leave?

Your historical logs, the detection content written for your estate, a defined handover period — agreed in writing at signature, when leverage is yours.

The full buyer’s guide — twelve questions with the answers to listen for — is in our comparison of SOC service providers in India.

Money

What SOC as a Service costs across the Indian market

Almost nobody publishes a price; the honest figure depends on log volume, asset count and response scope. What you can compare is the pricing model — it decides how the bill moves in year two.

Per-asset

A monthly fee per monitored server, endpoint or device. Predictable; check what counts as an asset and what adding one mid-contract costs.

Per-GB

Priced on log ingestion. Aligns cost with real monitoring load, but a misconfigured source can move the bill sharply — ask how spikes are capped.

Quote-based

A scoped figure against your estate — the commonest model in India, fairest when the scoping is genuine rather than a wide range opening a negotiation.

Compare any quote against the in-house floor: a credible three-tier 24×7 roster costs roughly ₹1.4 crore a year in base salary before licensing. The line-by-line breakdown is in our guide to SOC as a Service pricing in India.

The non-negotiables

The compliance baseline every Indian provider must meet

These obligations sit underneath every contract. A provider who cannot discuss them fluently has not operated in India long enough to be on your list.

CERT-In: six hours

Specified incidents must be reported within six hours of being noticed — noticed, not confirmed. The deadline is a detection problem before a paperwork one, whoever operates your SOC.

CERT-In: 180 days, in India

Security logs must be retained for a rolling 180 days within Indian jurisdiction. Confirm the storage region in the contract, not just the retention period.

SEBI CSCRF

The framework mandates a SOC for almost every regulated entity and expressly permits a third-party managed SOC. Provider ISO 27001 is mandatory for market infrastructure institutions, recommended for Qualified REs.

RBI C-SOC tiers

Annex-2 of the RBI Cyber Security Framework names the L1, L2 and L3 tiers directly. Your provider’s tiering should map to the regulator’s vocabulary.

DPDP Act obligations layer across all of the above wherever personal data is monitored. Our compliance services page maps each requirement to its instrument.

Straight answers

SOC as a Service providers in India, answered

What is a SOC as a service provider?

A company that operates a security operations centre on your behalf as a subscription. The provider supplies the analysts (L1, L2, L3), the SIEM platform, threat intelligence and the 24×7 roster; you receive investigated incidents rather than raw alerts. Indian tenders call it managed SOC or outsourced SOC.

What are the top SOC companies in India?

It depends on size and sector. TCS, Wipro, Infosys and HCLTech suit very large global estates; SISA is strong where payments and PCI-DSS dominate; Eventus Security focuses on BFSI and fintech; CyberNX is a pure-play Indian services firm; P J Networks, which wrote this page, fits mid-market and enterprise estates wanting a visitable in-house Delhi NCR SOC. The table above compares all eight.

How much does SOC as a service cost in India?

There is no honest single figure. Quotes are per-asset, per-GB of log ingestion, or scoped against your estate; price follows volume, asset count and response scope. The benchmark: a genuine three-tier 24×7 in-house roster costs roughly 1.4 crore rupees a year in base salary before licensing.

Is it safe to outsource SOC to a third party?

Yes, if the contract does its work. The real risks are contractual: unnamed tiers, no containment authority, logs stored outside India, no exit clause for your own data. Regulators permit the model explicitly; the questions above surface a weak arrangement before an incident does.

Do SEBI and RBI regulated entities allow third-party SOCs?

Yes. SEBI’s Cyber Security and Cyber Resilience Framework mandates a SOC for almost every regulated entity and expressly allows a third-party managed SOC. The RBI requires a Cyber Security Operation Centre under the CISO but not that you staff it yourself. CERT-In’s six-hour reporting and 180-day in-India log retention apply whoever operates it.

What is the difference between a SOC provider and an MSSP?

An MSSP traditionally operates security devices, keeping firewalls, gateways and VPNs configured and patched, and may add monitoring. A SOC provider runs detection and investigation. The trap is the word monitoring: in many MSSP contracts it means device uptime, not threat detection. Ask which you are buying.

Can providers monitor our existing SIEM?

Most credible providers can; the arrangement is called co-managed: you keep the licence and day team, the provider covers nights, weekends and specialist tiers. We operate customer-owned SIEMs, FortiSIEM and our own PrahiX Ora platform. Ask who owns detection content written during the contract and what happens to it at exit.

How long does onboarding take?

First log sources are usually ingested within days; meaningful detection coverage takes four to six weeks for a typical mid-market estate. The constraint is tuning, not integration, since a newly connected SIEM produces noise and value comes from baselining. Reliable detection promised on day one is alerting, not detection.
